"The DaVinci Coat"

I'm starting to lose feeling in my hands
And my heart's having a hard time keeping a beat
Blood might be too much to ask for, but my plan
Is to break free of these clogged veins and arteries
Untie my feet and slowly speak
And pass through the wind that's fighting me
Don't tell me it's in vain
I'm digging through your memories
Looking for something to attach to, desperately
so you won't forget me
It's simple chemistry right?
How mixing energy causes the air to ignite
My gash says remember how these flames can bite
Now I'm stumbling over broken glass
Trying to create something that will last
But you can't forge love out of water and gas
So I'm screaming at anything that will listen
Desperately trying to get through
I think it's because I miss you
I'm digging through your memories
Holding on as tight as I can, but I'm slipping
Its transforming me completely
After hours of wandering aimlessly
I fall face first into the street
And curse distance for how it has tortured me
