"Could It Be Magic?"

Colors of the rainbow
Misty through the summer shower
Vibrantly shimmer
Catching attention
Creating smiles
What is it that captures
The child within
To believe in powers
Adults cannot
And for an instant
See beyond
The limits
To magical realms
Of hope
And wishes
Magic
Lost in the journey
From childhood
Where adults
Cannot fathom
And yet
A shimmer of color
Draws the eye
And for an instant
A fleeting wonder
If maybe
It could be
Magic

A charming poem describing the imagination of a child at the sight of the rainbow, transporting him to a magic place that the adults cannot penetrate. Thanks for sharing this, JoAnne.
