"Silence"

War inside my head explodes with feelings of disbelief and despair,
paralyzing me with debilitating sorrow
a sorrow painted by my anger at the unimaginable reality
He is gone and I’m still here, but I’m not alive
Lost,
Bleeding out;
the dagger in my heart twists unmercifully
Each memory of our years together condensed into pin pricks of images
I cannot touch you.
Your voice is silent but the silence fills our home.
A distracting silence
And I don’t know how to fill the void.

So sorry for your loss, JoAnne. Life doesn't come much harder than the loss of a beloved partner. The pain is replaced my memories, in time. Take good care of yourself x

So sorry. This all seems to
So sorry. This all seems to have happened so quickly for you. Having good memories of course makes it harder. May the Lord comfort you and help you to rest in Him, and quietly trust for the coming day. much love, Rhiannon

Sad news
I'm so very sorry to hear your sad news. I admire you for the way you have been able to put your feelings of loss into a poem, though I suspect there are no real words that would adequately describe the depth of your hurting. Memories of such a special loved one are things to treasure, so I hope yours will help you.
My very best wishes to you and your sons.
Turlough

I'll lite a candle for you & family...
'Yesterday's, today's & tomorrow's. Its not a soul of love lost, its love & faith of souls that heal'....
That was told to me by a Nun...
So, I'm sending a prayer of faith & love & healing for a fellow member/writer here, the best I can, the only way I know how.
Quick Back Story on that phrase...
In the village I live in, I walk past a chapel many centuries old almost everyday, sometimes I help the Nun`s clean a bit, move some heavy stuff around, fix a few things, etc....A few years ago I was in a cycle of grief & loss & shock . At 1st I thought those word 's ' were nice comforting words with a spiritual message. It turned out to be a lesson for me.... Peace be with you JoAnne
p.s. Phrase translated into English... hope it came out ok ()

Dear Jo Anne, I've just
Dear Jo Anne, I've just finished reading your poem, I'm so, so sorry to hear this news. Wish I could reach out and give you a big hug, but as that's not possible, I can only say that my thoughts go out to you and I hope comfort is found with those around you.
Take comfort in his memory and stay strong.
Jenny.
