“It’s getting’ more nicer, ain’t it?,” said Larry.
“Who taught you how to speak?,” said Mick.
“Your mom,” said Larry.
“You’re not Larry,” said Mick.
“What maketh ye sayeth that?,” said ‘Larry.’
“Don’t think you can fool me with your ‘ye’ and your ‘eths’ - and besides, if you really were my long-standing chum and tiddlywinks opponent, you would not scatter yon ‘eths’ so liberally.”
“I have decided the ‘eth’ is underused.”
“Get out!”
The fake Larry did as he was bid.
Enter the real Larry.
“Good day to you, friend Mick!,” sayeth he.
“Why good day to you, my dearest pal!,” said Mick.
“And what maketh ye of this fine Spring morn?,” said (the real) Larry.
“It is a most pleasant of ay-ems.”
“‘Ay-ems’?”
“You know, like, ‘At seven ay-em I awoke and had my first cup of tea of the day.’”
“Ah yes.”
The real Larry and the real Mick basked in the light of their mutual friendly admiration.
...
But what of the fake Larry?
Maybe he shall return in a future tale..
