He scowls at the back
Carves his name in the desk
Sneers in your face
Spits on the floor
Prowls from the room
Read what he scrawled:
Caravaggio.
She wears flowers in her hair
Frowns as she draws
Laughs to herself
Holds your gaze with a glare
Unflinching and bold
Call out her name:
Frida.
She walks with a limp
Writes off the line
Misses most days
Looks in your eyes
Sees to the pain
Write her report:
Dorothea Lange.
He stands on his chair
Wipes mud from his boots
Flicks it around
Whoops uncontrolled
Runs through the door
Who is that boy?
Jackson Pollock.

Hi Helen
Hi Helen
I like the way you have made the artists into people with their personalities picked out in only a few lines. Beautifully done.
