Helplessness
P K Routray
Cruelty is at its height,
helplessness, lying low, cannot incite
the mercy from the inhumanity
crossing all its demoniac limit.
The pathos of humility and prayer to spare
fall in deaf ear to hear and to care
The picture with its eloquence
touches and wounds the hearts in silence
(This poem is written on a sight of - A lone seal is about to be hit by a lethal stick by a hefty man. The creature piteously and helplessly looking at the man)

Hello PK-R, A good poem. Is this about a white baby seal? If so, they are now protected from hunters. Your sorrow re these acts comes across very well in your poem. Richard ps. open to any suggestions?
