A tribute to the iron lady
P K Routray
Iron Lady Madam Margaret Thatcher
Great Britain’s so far lone lady prime minister
left her mortal remains on her journey to Heaven
at the age of eighty-seven in Hotel Ritz of London
on eighth April peacefully following a heart attack
the news shocked all over the world from a common man to Obama Barack.
A lady responsible to end the cold war across the globe
she was adored by her votaries and enemies with intense love.
An iconic state’s woman and a leader of rare character
true friend to both her friends and foes and a brilliant political figure.
Her enduring legacy “Thatcherism for personal freedom
will keep her in memory and history for all time to come.
You had an enviable regime of eleven years in Great Britain
in which territory, once the sun never disappeared from the horizon
An extraordinary leader and a leader of rare character
The world bids adieu to you, Hey dear Baroness Thatcher!
With successful marriage life spanning fifty two years amidst strenuous political career
And also being a proud of mother of a twin you have exhibited a woman’s true character.
your mortal body will get Britain’s’ rare state honor
next to Churchill and second world heroes as you desired status lower.
your soul must have taken its assigned and deserving place in His Heavenly abode,
May the Almighty bless your soul to get on it the eternal peace and bliss bestowed.
