The Butterfly Effect.

A Butterfly is beautiful and carefree,

They can fly away when need be.

I think that's why I love them so much.

I wish I could go back to a time when things were simple.

Shut my eyes and be transported to another place,

A place where I felt safe.

Maybe if I could go back in time,

I could change things,

Change the bad that messed up my life.

Maybe I could of gone somewhere else rather than to the paddling pool with that man,

Maybe I should of told the police what he really did.

Maybe I should of never gone swimming that day with my friends in the summer,

Then maybe I would of never had to have gone to court.

Maybe I should of cherished the time with my friends and family more,

If i wasn't so scared to leave the house.

Then maybe I wouldn't have these nightmares that fill my mind with doubt.

But if I was to go back in time and change all of these events,

I wouldn't be the person I am now,

I wouldn't be writing this, would I?

You see, if we were to go back in time and change just one tiny event,

It would change the entire course of our future.

We call this ' The Butterfly Effect'.
