"Writing Mode"...

It makes me laugh when people say they are in writing mode,
You're not in writing mode,
You're typing bars into your phone.
Whatever happened to picking up a pen and letting the ink flow,
Letting the pages fill up as the concept grows.
I dunno, maybe I'm old fashioned,
But there's something about starting a fresh notepad that ignites my passion.
I mean yeah, I'll type a written into my phone,
Only as a means to memorize or finish it when I get a minute alone.
I'm not knocking anyone writing,
in fact just the opposite,
But there's a difference between writing and typing,
I think I just defined it.

I did feel this way for the longest time. I'd fill up note book after notebook. I loved the art of writing with a pen. It's a completely different writing experience. The problem was I would then come home and have to type them up so I'd be able to post them. It's a bit difficult and tiresome when you're writing a thousand or so words a day. I finally got an ipad. Which has been a tremedos help. I don't feel any less of a wirtiter because of it. But I did enjoy your take on the matter, PoeticalJustice. And if I ever become rich and famous I'd go back to pen and paper in a heartbeat. I'd pay someone else to do the typing.
Cheers,
Rich
