CAITHNESS
He falls and snuggles like a lover to the floor
dreams spilling from the bottle in the weathered-hand.
Beyond the door dead-brochs lie buried on the moor.
Forebears are but sepulchral-weals upon the land.

bleak and beautiful, the device you have of the lines coming back round works so well, sort of pounding like the heartbeat of the land. From reading other of your poems you have a strong understanding of history. Having moved to Scotland I feel like a photo tucked in a book, that I will fall out when the page is turned.
