Lament for Ian Curtis
Your ghostly portrait on my wall.
My best friend.
But I never knew you at all.
The pensive sorrow in your eyes.
Gone for thirty years .
How quickly time flys.
When I am depressed and when I’m low.
Your lyrics inspire me and on I go.
From the shadows of Interzone.
Mournful mood swings.
We both are prone.
I understand that sense of isolation.
loneliness.
Despair.
And pure frustration.
I feel Closer to you.
My melancholic friend.
Your Unknown Pleasures.
Are a means to my end.
You lost control.
Love tore you apart.
My friend I never knew.
You touch me from a distance.
With your sombre art.

Yes Mr. Curtis. I wonder
Yes Mr. Curtis. I wonder what he would be doing now had he not chosen that particular path. Another one I miss is Syd Barrett....the original pre-acid Syd I mean. Things could have been so different.
