Not what I expected when I

Heard a knock at my front door,

To see a young man all smiles

And a basket full of all sorts.

I try not to judge and let him speak,

Although most could assume he was

There to sell them something.

But I smiled and listen very genuinely

To what this happy,kind looking

Face had to say.

And to my surprise and delight he

Wanted to invite us all to a Christmas

Carol in our park. Explaining he was

From the 'Bridge' which is a place

Younger people go to do activities or,

Learn about Christianity or other

Religions, if they choose,they can do so.

I said 'I have heard of your good plight

and would love to come on Sunday night'.

But before he left a bunch of sweets for me,

We both agreed, no matter what a person's

Belief, situation or color,

It's is so wonderful for all to meet.
