Little Niggles

Stop,Pause Focus and
Continue that's what we
Can do, when the little
Things start to annoy
Us, for a moment in our
Day, and overshadow
the bigger ones,we try
To bury away.
From an heavy oak chest
Of draws that decides it
Doesn't want to move across
The thick pile carpet floor.
Or a washing machine that
leaks all over the floating wood
tile. causing more cleaning
up to do, than before.
And when we couldn't bite
Our tongues any more and
Swore, realizing the new
Neighbors had heard
From across the communal
Hall.
Don't let it win, what ever it
May be,but feel proud
That no matter what stood in
Our way, we didn't let it stop us
Doing anything we wanted on that
Very day.

Hi Trish.
Hi Trish.
This is a lovely poem with some nice rhymes, and the words flow so well, too. Great inspirational message using down to earth examples of life.
Very much enjoyed.

Hello there, Trish,
Hello there, Trish,
I could really identify with this....washing machines flooding the kitchen are a sore point with me, having slipped and fallen, and broken my arm on tiles that became like a skating rink.
That was a few years ago now, and the arm's all mended, thank goodness
Very much enjoyed your poem, and its message, uplifting.
Keep writing, and inspiring, Trish.
Tina
