Those long dark nights

Give me such a fright

And a shiver down

My spine.

 

Being on my own doesn't

Help,and all of this makes

Me feel blue from about Two

In the afternoon,as the

Darkness slowly starts to loom.

 

Dreading the hours to

Come,even the radio

Or TV cant help me with

This one.

 

But when I look online

To read colorful stories

Of all kind.

 

I get a change of mind

And feel happy and

Warm inside.

Yes, I guess it's that reminder of other people around out there, isn't it? 2 o'clock can seem such a long time til morning if you're awake, I hope a good read helps you get sleepy aswell. This is a concise little cameo picture. Rhiannon

Oh, I see now, I'd been thinking you meant awake at 2 am, but yes, the foretaste of a long night to come does seem to start so early in the afternoon these dark days and nights! Glad you enjoy your online reading, and the company and absorption it gives, and I hope the pain is a bit less now. regards, Rhiannon

So tired of the dark nights PrettyRose. Well-captured. Like the bolt of hope in the ending, you tend to do that alot and it comes full circle.

Thank you so much for your comments, It really made me smile&I appreciate you commenting about it being read outloud, I would feel honored if any of my work were to be read aloud, but I would not being doing that, as I hate my own voice lol, even though I was going to put a voice recording on here, of a poem I did but haven't been brave so far lol.
