While we often can't predict pain, betrayal,
Death and destruction, we will inevitably
Have to face in our hopefully long life on
Our precious, delicate earth.
We can control how we react and especially
To others, it's a natural part of being human
The urge to lash out,and when this happens.
Our loved ones are usually the first to feel
The harsh cold force of uncontrollable
Variations and mood swings of emotions.
Yes it won't be easy after all,one way or
Another We'll be grieving. But While
We try to deal with these depressing,
Confusing, unbearable unhappy feelings,
Lets try to remember that the person wer'e
Angry with isn't the loved one that's been
There every Step of the way, to help us
Everyday.
Perhaps its the person that's inside
Ourselves,wondering why this as happened
And wishing we could of done something,
Or more. But theres not always some one
To blame, just questions we want explained.

poetic or poem?
I very much liked the sentiment and the directness is nice too.
I wonder whether this needs to be stanza-ed as it is? Is there an underlying logic about the line lengths? Is their reasoning behind the mid-line punctuation? I wonder whether the expression (which I do like, by the way!) would suffer at all from being expressed in straightforward paragraphs.
Thanks for reading. I am grateful for your time.
