Awakening, lying alone
On cool sheets,
You were the first thought
In my mind.

The last thought
In my now,not so closed
Eyes,When I drifted
Happily to sleep
Last Night.

You will always be
In my heart and soul
For without you
How can I seize to
Continue my selfless
Journey, you taught me,
Recently.

I do not strive to buy
The latest mobile phone,
Or current handbag from
The latest trending
Designer, or even
Worry if my shoes are
Hand cleaned once a week
By a desperate worker
On minimum wage.

No, I long for
Discombobulation to enter
My well, organized, material
Life. So I can become the
Better person I know you
Want me to be.

Thank you, I long for
The time to say that to
You in person when we meet
Like I know we will
In arms, In heaven
One joyous moment!!

Hi, Julie, - I felt when I read that IP, that I would love to write something like this! But how could I show that, truly, when you know Christ, he just is your first and last thought, whoever else you have or don't have for company, enjoy or miss! So, so glad you were able to pour out your heart so honestly. Rh

I realised since writing my comment above, that you may have been remembering a person who has meant so much in inspiring you, and who has passed on now, rather than, as I took it referring to God himself, in the person of his Son, inspiring and helping you, and looking forward to thanking him 'in person'. Highhat, what I meant by tease, case that was took the wrong way :) I meant I wanted to mislead to thinking you all good writers, that I was meaning one thing but was leading to the real point. x
