A crystal strand ignited the night sky,
the moment God created you and I.
Fragments of soul alone, each so distinct,
separate at last, but oh so closely linked.
Atoms free-falling from the mists of space,
somehow cohere to form this luscious place.
An ecosphere which man can make his home
and in so doing, learn to live alone.
And in so living he will conjugate
the will of life along with that of fate.
For as the match of life strikes bright its flame
it does so ‘gainst the rock that is ordained.
Without that friction there would be no spark
to light the way for us to leave the dark.
Man and God in tandem on the trail
both confident that neither one will fail.
