The God Within

As you give so you receive,
in that tenet do believe.
For it makes you not a victim,
of an old paternal dictum.

It means you have all that you need,
for your journey to succeed,
For your soul to soar and rise,
towards its most fulfilling prize.

Which is to feel quite whole again,
having explored the world of men.
And then with lessons firmly clasped
engage with spirit, as pin meets hasp.

When that lock’s firmly in place,
a portal is then formed in space.
As man looks in, spirit looks out
at what this world is all about.

They feel the warmth of bodies near,
they sense the pain, that’s very clear.
They absorb the closeness, one to other,
they hear the fighting between brothers.

New born babies at the breast,
their span of time they now will test.
As spirit looks his heart expands,
he warms up to the world of man.

As man looks in he senses peace,
all those colours within reach.
No empty plates upon the table,
no more demands to prove he’s able.

Just to be, in time and space,
to depart the whole rat race.
To float above the pain and fighting
just relax and let the light in.

So suddenly a new world beckons,
with more potential, so you reckon.
But it’s when the scale pans meet,
that all potential is complete.

That pause between breath in and out,
in truth is what this is about.
That pivot point within the spin,
That experience of God within.
