So, upon this bright lit morning
what journey shall we take?
Is there a question you want answered,
or is my coming a mistake?

"No, your coming’s always welcome,
its a pleasure every day.
But I sometimes find that duty
gets firmly in the way.

I am filing information
in my head as I sit down.
Does spirit need it empty
for its teaching to propound?"

I do not need a blank canvas,
that purchase gives me none.
But I do need your attention
and some words that you’ve begun.

There’s also higher forces at work
within this plan.
That mediate the influence that
spirit has on man.

I’m not entirely a free agent,
free to influence my host.
I have to negotiate position
with those I love the most.

For those that love me, love you also.
No harm can come your way.
Now we’ve established this foundation
Shall we start to earn our pay?
