Transition 8

"I am standing in a corridor,
the background it is dark.
A wind approaches from the shadows
the voice is almost like a bark.
Advice it is given, on the smallest
deviation on our route.
But gentle in its forcefulness,
you feel this spirit’s most astute.
You know you’re standing naked,
under a searchlight bright.
He has a reassuring manner,
an enormous sense of might".
You’ve been at this a long time,
your dedication now will pay.
For every word that’s uttered
will take you further on your way.
Spirit’s always on the lookout,
for quiet minds and open hearts.
It’s not the soul’s intention,
that you spend your lives apart.
For meditation it brings comfort,
extracts learning from the life.
It enables quiet reflection,
brings perspective to your strife.
It cannot lift life’s problems,
nor lessons bat away.
But it’s the hand upon your elbow
that guides you on your way.
