Like a slap out of nowhere your diagnosis 

Came out nowhere

A breeze in a far too dry desert

Blindsided,

Or at least

That's what my mom says

Says you fought that beast twice

Even still you kept a smile

A mind fortified with love and care.

I miss your pumpkin pie.

I know you wont see this 

Yet my fingers, they wont let me stop

I have to write, i have to type.

I have to push these feelings out or i fear

I may never see them again.

Last thanksgiving at your home

Truly felt like a blizzard

Blindsided.

A horrid understatement 

The words don't come to me.
