Voiceless

We are one word:
Voiceless.
And though we cannot speak,
We see. We see you
Do the things you think that no one sees you do
Today, tomorrow, week by week,
We hear you speak.
Though we have not the voice to stand against
You, what you do,
The lying, cheating, shouting, selling fear and hate,
All while we hear,
Remembering the lies and hate you've already dispensed,
Is not what we shall tolerate.
We are not weak.
We do not fear.
We each shall stand
And raise our hand
And challenge all your lies
And fight for what is true.
It is the voiceless who are strong
Enough to look you in the eye.
We know you’re wrong.
And while you lie
To us, it is the one who silently defies
Your voice,
And we shall choose.
Our choice
is not you. Never you.
This time you lose.
You do not stand by what you do,
You are as worthless as your word,
And we’re not here to ask
Politely, that you step away,
Or make a fuss,
But take to task
Your sheepish herd,
Because today belongs to us,
The Voiceless.
It ends today.
So we will stand and not abate,
And later will relate
The tale of what occurred
The day we stood our ground;
At last we found
That in the end, our throats did make a sound.
We are no longer Voiceless.
And we will be heard.
