I would like to die in a diner please. With Patsy Cline playing in the background, and a half eaten piece of pie in front of me. That would be a good way to go I think.
After my Santa Barbara breakdown. I am now returned to the city of angels. I slept the whole way back on the train. The rolling motions of the Ocean Pacific railway a good sedative that has me curled up on a window seat.
I arrive at the beautiful Union Street station refreshed and perky. The sun is setting, throwing Technicolor pink and orange hues on the art deco walls. There are guys running for trains, sleeves rolled up, ties loosened. A tough day at the office buddy?
Paula meets me and we scoot off to a diner for some supper. I have been to this one before. It's called 'Fred 63 and is one of the best. Cool curved booth seating, great attentive staff and superb food. I have a Thai Salad and a beer. It's tasty and huge.
I tell Paula hat I had a very tough moment in Santa Barbara. She said she knew that was going to happen and its part of the healing. The battle is mine and mine only now. It's the end game.
We come home and watch a movie. 'Kiss Kiss, Bang, Bang'. It has Robert Downey Junior in it. He is an actor who has had a few problems but seems to be coming through the other side. It's very funny and I am involved in it.
I sleep well, but wake up with an aching hand. I must have sat on it or something.
Going to the Museum of Modern Art today. Need to sooth my eyes.
