I'm feeling heat
from the city outside
the tack of honey
the buzz of spring
coaxing my spirit
rising from my hive
newspaper numbs me
Palestine and goals
Queen Mum stripping Gaza
in my back garden
there's a front page
of cherry blossom
wonder into cul-de-sacs
of my teenage glide
the remembrance in colour
a first polaroid of you
striding on concrete
backlit and beautiful
a plane hums London
taxis bay like horses
i require junked up
xylophone rapid rain
to complete this meander
and guide this cruellest month
to its demise
