Dawn
From my porch I long to see
How this new day came to be
First the graying of the night
Just before the burning light
A silver haze backlights the ridge
And lights the way for Heaven’s bridge
For surely Angels tread this way
As they set out to sow the day
From God’s love new light springs forth
Breathed out through his hollow Holy North
What carnal mind could ere’ display
The burning promise of a bright new day

Nice poem Ray. In my
Nice poem Ray. In my ignorance, I didn't fully understand these two lines.
'Breathed out through his hollow Holy North
What carnal mind could ere’ display'. But I liked the appreciative tone and thought the rhyme worked too.
