“Let’s drink and be merry –
who cares if we carry
a virus – we’re well
but bored, want a spell
of crowding and laughter –
who cares then if after
we find ourselves ill
– and others as well?
Too bad, let’s enjoy now without any worries
that someone (me?) carries
this infamous virus
– who worries? Not us!”

I suppose so many youngsters (and not so young) are frustrated by the lockdown that's been and just feel 'I don't kow anyone who's had the virus, let's just have a big street party or cram in the pubs and parks.'  Maybe they don't care whether they get ill ( but could listen to some of their age who have suffered badly), but more, don't give thought to others who might get very ill because of their selfish actions. Often these gatherings get violent too, against the police. And all while so many others are trying to sacrificially 'keep the rules' as best they can. Rhiannon
