“Your kingdom come”

You do not feel God near,
but know he sees and knows
and understands, and soon you’ll hear
his voice, freed from your woes.
In awe of all his power –
though wise and kind, he trains.
I quake, but trust that in that hour
compassion holds the reins.
Your kingdom come even now,
turn some from wickedness,
but soon let justice fully flow,
and perfect righteousness.
Bring judgement fair and true,
all exploitation cease,
all honour, praise to only You,
Your kingdom, rule of peace.
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God. Psalm 42:5
Tune: SM

your will be done
These words will work very well for a hymn Rhiannon and there is a lot in here in Bible verses and content.
The first reminds of where the Lord appears to Elijah in the cave, and the whole of your hymn makes one think of the Lord's Prayer. You refer to Psalm 42 to me absolutely beautiful especially “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” And “but soon let justice fully flow, and perfect righteousness” sounds very familiar!

resilience.
Thanks, I think it's not that bad after all and our nation is known for great resilience. The president was on the radio last night he keeps us informed, he was calm and confident it was reassuring.
But the big question of course is whether the vaccines are efficient for the new variants. That is make or break and it's not just us, it is the whole world.
Keep well Rhiannon! & Nolan
