The answer to ‘nature deficit disorder’

Step outside, five minutes spare,
feel the space and breathe fresh air:
watch the spider stay or dart,
notice patterns – nature’s art,
feel the textures,
sniff the smell,
is there birdsong?
– listen well.
Take an interest, much to see,
let it soothe, your mind set free
from other things awhile that tense –
therapeutic, every sense
refreshed.
And don’t stifle curiosity
of children, their capacity
for quiet investigation out of doors
away from games and books,
and screens and chores.

mindfulness
Wonderful yes! They also call this koind of awareness "mindfulness" it is very good for you you can learn it and practice it. To some people it comes as quite natural.
See you Rhiannon! &&

Brilliant message, so clearly
Brilliant message, so clearly and lightly put! I worry so much for children who never see the bigger picture, to grow up thinking the human made world is all there is. You must be an ace grandmother, able to answer all the questions about the things they see :0)
