Any Hard Task

It was still
an up-hill
pull
with determined will
to fully fulfil
the task undertaken
and reach the top
not stop or flop
or trip or slip
or sleep, take a nap
but creep on and on
until the thrill
of reaching the peak
the goal we seek,
the view no more so hard and bleak
though tired, weak
now we can rest,
the test
completed.

I like the rhythm in this
I like the rhythm in this poem Rhiannon. You describe the up hill struggle really well, without giving in.

The way you have your rhymes
The way you have your rhymes really sounds like the puff and grrr of struggle, and completed, unrhymed at the end made me think of movement ended, a flat stone to sit on at the top :0)

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
It's a bit like the ABBA song On and on and on. Nicely told. Perseverance is a virtue. It can be amazing what one can achieve !!!

Nicely done, Rhiannon. That
Nicely done, Rhiannon. That must have taken a lot of thought with the immaculate rhyming and rhythm. I certainly enjoyed reading it. You are a highly skilled poet. Paul
