“There is no God”: the fool’s opinion.
The Lord observes to see if anyone
now understands, and seeks their Maker:
they turn from him and good, together,
    Long for the church’s restoration:
    rejoice in coming full salvation.

They persecute God’s people precious,
who God protects and counts as righteous.
The wicked see, and though they fear,
they will not call to God so near.

In school for some time I professed to be atheist it was stupid really a kind of fashion for the really bright guys I think and how brave they were. Lots of bright young minds claimed to be communist too. Fashion. Stupid.

Interesting. I know someone who worked with students and he often challenged them that while they said they were atheists, deep down they had an awareness that there probably was a God, but didn't want to acknowledge the possibility, or really investigate the evidence, because then they wouldn't be their own 'boss'.

That is true, but there is much evidence for the existence of God, it is not just a 'blind hope, which can't harm', nor just a comforting hope. The evidence for the person, and words and resurrection of Jesus Christ is greater than for  many accepted histoical events. And the witness of creation and in all mankind's sense of morality and 'religion' too.And of course the experience of those who trust him.

Many don't read the words of Jesus in the Bible, and have little idea of what he said, and the claims he made. Yet most would like to know whether there is a God, and a hope.
