near Bromyard, Herefordshire
Three-dimensional dips and ups,
carpets of dead bracken,
wide-open violets peep out here and there,
and the stark, bare Malvern Hills rise high:
crown the horizon.
Below the common is
a lane verged with profusion of colour;
white stars of stitchwort,
opening bluebells, yellow archangel,
and hedges of bursting buds –
leaves peep, unwrapping, expand.

Some beautiful images in this poem Rhiannon.
I've been up on the Malvern hills myself many years ago and you took me back.
Love the beauty of those photos too.
Jenny.
