1) A little lie
may seem to supply
reward of pleasure and gain,
but soon will be found
to rob and rebound
bringing trouble and loss and shame,
real pain.
Food gained by fraud tastes sweet to a man, but he ends up with a mouth full of gravel. Proverbs 20:17
[Personal to us all, but also note recent headline 'Fraud epidemic "is now national security threat"’]

VERY Funny! We should have age restrictions on the food too like a cornflaxe box or tins of peaches and garlic bread like those movies triangles: Warning! Fat sugar salt. Is not good for your health! Cafienne kills. Etc.

A little can have big repercussions
Hi Rhiannonw,
Very thought provoking.
Little lies spread like wild fire and feed on themselves as each person adds their own interpretations. What started as an innocent oversight can end up something that will destroy someone's reputation. The thing about a lie is that you have to have a good memory if you want to stick to your story. People lie for all sorts of reasons, mainly because the truth doesn't always set you free; it tends to get you into trouble. In an abusive environment lying becomes the standard response; because it safeguards the transgressor for harm. Often people that grow-up fearful of such consceqences, tend to be hesitant to take accountability when they get older.

That is very true
Hi Rhiannonw
There is a movie with Jim Carry called Liar-liar. In it, a boy, tired of getting hurt by broken promises, makes a wish that his father will be unable to tell a lie, for an entire day. His father is a lawyer in the midst of a major lawsuit, that requires a little deception in order to win. Unable lie, the father goes around telling everyone the most hurtful sentriments he would orfinarilly be tactful about. Sort of like if someone asks him about what he thinks of thier haircut, he'll tell them he hates it
