Strident signals, splashing yellow
sturdy flagpoles, blue-green, hollow;
trumpets flourished swaying, sounding,
so successfully announcing
winter’s finished, warmth’s increasing,
longer, brighter days arriving.
Golden ‘seas’ are undulating,
gentle breeze their song’s pulsating.
Stormy gales can wreck and flatten,
batter down, wreak havoc; – listen!
– Still you see and hear the champion,
bright forerunner’s dazzling clarion.

reminded me of the daffodils in our garden,
standing tall and proud.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
I liked the marchy feel to this one too. And the seas of daffodils blowing in the breeze. Very nice.
