Dark Days

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
However long you have to wait,
be patient for God’s time;
though some may mock you, hurt or hate,
your kindness, faith should shine.
So be a blessing where you are,
through all the troubled days,
and trust in him who’s strong, and plans
your good, and give him praise.
However much it seems to cheer,
don’t fall for comfort fake;
however strange things may appear,
God’s love makes no mistake.
So be a blessing where you are,
through all the troubled days,
and trust in him who’s strong, and plans
your good, and give him praise.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
what a lovely poem, and it made a lot of sense to me just now. My nephew, who has just been visiting, has had a very difficult life with his children. He was very worried when we was here, and feeling guilty for having left home, as his son is in jail - for drunken stuff and a lot of other minor things which he continued to ignore - and my nephew refused to bail him out, and he looks likely to get a 2 year sentence. And then his daughter who lives with him has an ex-partner who also lived with them for years, but my nephew has now kicked him out, after he stole his daughter's car, and then wrecked it - with no license even. But now my nephew is in Europe for 3 weeks he fears that this man will come back and make problems for his daughter and the children. So I caught him sitting quietly in my living room, praying. I hope God helped him cope.
Jean
