Sunday, Monday

Dennis passing,
rainfall less – though heavy blasts recurring,
some floods subsiding slowly,
rivers watched for swells’ arrival
from rainfall far away.

Intervals of sunshine – strong winds
still hurling around us, swaying trees,
shaking the landscape.

In the town and villages many busy
rescuing, providing comfort, warmth, food,
help in clearing.

this is so telling :

rivers watched for swells’ arrival
from rainfall far away.

And "hurling" is a great way to describe strong wind's sound and power. I like the positive ending, the bouncing back, uncurling. I hope you are OK. It sounds like your community is turning the disaster into a positive thing, drawing you together

Thank you, Di. Still windy! We're fine (had a couple of buckets with drips getting around flashing for one night!). We are too far away to have been of direct help, and some health issue. But there has been a lot of help and co-operation noted, which is always so good to hear. Rhiannon

That's good ;0) We are windy too. No going on ferries today. Poor cats wading in the garden!
