[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]

When will we see an end
of bloody battle, war?
Now some must fight, defend
and peace seek to restore.

Give thanks when battles cease,
remember all now scarred,
those who have died for peace
and those whose lives are marred.

Some injured, others find
so much they can’t forget
that festers, haunts their mind
and life seems grey and set.

Christ suffered malice when
nailed, scorned, the earth went dark
three hours. He sees the pain
where evil’s made its mark.

Remember then your debt
to those who bore such pain,
But may we not forget
Christ’s peace of heart to claim.

Sorry Rhiannon there was some trouble here I couldn't use Abc. Looks like it's Ok now we have all sorts of problems here.

Yes war is a terrible thing and prospects don't look good. One is tempted to think of the end of the world but I don't think it's as bad as that yet! Who knows? Only the Father. There have been terrible times before, in history, and still not the end.

We did a spring clean today, looks great! Hope you enjoyed your Divali and that. What is the picture? Tulips, or roses perhpas. Can't see.

Sorry you are having electricity or internet problems again. Maybe it helped you get on with spring cleaning!

The picture is a field of wild poppies, because November 11, and the Sunday before is Remeberance  Day to remember those killed or hurt in wars, especially the two world wars, and poppies are worn as they symbol as they grew in the mudfields of devastation and slaughter in world war 1.

So we don't celebrate Divali, but Christmas and rememember Nov 11, and enjoy displays of fireworks on November 5th, wihich started to remember the providence preventing the slaughter of King James and parliament .by plot Nov. 5 1605! Rhiannon
