Drizzle and Dandelions

Driving in the drizzle,
dripping trees obscured by mizzle,
road awash, and frequent splash,
sodden grass and swirls of rain
– wipers swish on ‘fast’ again;
getting lighter, somewhat brighter,
dandelions shut up tight
against the rain and dew of night
open up once more, unfold
- verges shine with orbs of gold.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
How lovely to have a tribute to the humble dandelion. They certainly are colourful in the hedge rows and gardens, including mine. I really like this poem.
