out there with those

merrily revelling.

She little knows
their hidden woes.

I have a story myself you could name him Houdini. I think a bird was made for the freedom of flight and it's worth dying for.

In that painting which is shown under 'Inspiration Point' the two birds are depicted, one in a cage, one free, and the lady seems to be yearing to be out with the crowd as if she felt similarly 'caged' though she had riches. So the poem was exploring her longings. Rhiannon

Well written, it is very sad “A Robin Redbreast in a cage puts all of heaven in a rage” I know how it feels. But I like budgies most I think they're very intelligent friendly and affectionate, you can tame them 100% starting very small, they can learn saying words too.

Birds mimicking!

As I commented above to Tom, the painting we were shown seems to indicate the lady feeling 'caged' too, but she maybe has 'rose-coloured spectacles' to her view of what others are doing, thinking the grass outside 'greener' but not necessarily so. Jenny had a slighly different interpretation in her offering on it. Rhiannon
