She dreamt she was an athlete coach,
and gaining cups galore;
then woke up to her daily grind
and yet another chore.
He dreamt himself the manager,
with salary well-paid;
and then he woke to face his boss
whose whims must be obeyed.
She dreamt of working as a vet
in farms and jungles wild;
but woke to face the study hard
while caring for her child.
But one night all the dreams were changed –
their heroes troubles found
without the little pleasures, joys
of the dreamers’ daily round.

The reality for many. There's a great rhythm and rhyme to this, Rhiannon. It bounces along and is a lovely read. Nicely done. Paul

There's nothing like dreams to lift your spirit, we all have them, but would we really want those dreams to come true.
I like the rhythm and rhyme in your poem Rhiannnon.
