Risking much for gain or loss
on a superstitious toss;
‘Good’ luck fostering compulsion
to a frequent repetition
thus a strangling addiction
slide to gradual destruction,
wasted time and family neglect,
loss of assets, self-respect.

Nicely done, Rhiannon. Words
Nicely done, Rhiannon. Words carefully intertwined with a nice rhythm and an underlying message. Hoping you are well. Paul :)

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
I liked the repetition pattern in this poem. Well said, and certainly a very necessary subject to comment on. I too wonder how those who promote on line gambling can think saying, "act responsibly" is going to do much good.
