Fears, but unafraid (IP)
By Rhiannonw
- 1283 reads
Fear of pain,
but faith that grace will be supplied;
fear of death,
but looking forward – when we’ve died
we’ll be where no mere man can hurt, or interfere –
but One rules there who all should hold in honour, fear –
that fear that’s awe, repentance and respect, contrition,
and listening, heeding, love receiving, and redemption –
then, though we may be nervous, worried or dismayed,
the reassurance of his constant touch and presence
gives courage, peace, and perseverence, unafraid.
(cf.Matthew 10:28)

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
This is lovely, and very sincere. Your faith is very transparent and you proclaim in loudly.
During the week, watching Loose Women as I do most days, I was very interested when Janet Street-Porter - who is a very well educated and important journalist but also very outspoken and people are scared of her - talked about her faith and why religion and life after death is important. I was very impressed. Two of the panel were non-believers but do gooders - and one was a lapsed Catholic who sort of hoped for life after death because that was what her mother would have counted on.
