Fork Ahead!

DANGER! NO ENTRY!
Beware! No through way!
Disaster and tumble,
damage, decay!
Desire to peek
at daring experiences,
to dabble and paddle,
new ‘pleasures’ to seek.
Jaded and faded,
hard to return,
crumbling humbling,
but harder the way
of regret and admission
of foolish decision,
and need to pray
to somehow get back
on the other track.

The story of som many lives,
The story of som many lives, Rhiannonw. Too many forks in my road. Mass confusion. Next life I'm going with the shrimp fork. Took pleasure - and a smigen of pain - in reading this. Much enjoyed.

There's so much skill in this
There's so much skill in this, I think someone listening to the sound alone, without knowing English, would understand the message. It must be a masterclass in internal rhymes, and you have done that thing I have seeen in other poems of yours, where it comes right down to this pure clear note of the last word?

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
The temptation of the forbidden fruit. And how true, so much better to avoid these situations than to have to manage some how to get out of them later.

Sometimes one has to make decisions
Sometimes one has to make decisions that cannot be undone. Like getting married perhaps or having a tooth pulled or say a tattoo or commit a serious crime. On the other-hand sometimes a choice has to be made but never commit yourself unnecessarily.
Best usually is you always postpone an irreversible action if possible, that is my maxim! Look before you leap. And read the road signs.
Almost weekend I think there's a rugby test tomorrow, the pride of South-Africa the Springboks vs the formidable British Lions playing in Cape Town.
Keep well! Tom

It is so Riannon and sometimes
It is so Riannon but sometimes you are at a crossroads one has to decide your road and cannot turn back, but how would you know what lies ahead? You can't throw dice?
So you will have to pray for guidance and courage, blindly, in faith, and trust.
By the way, the Springbucks won the second test! Amaboko!
