Globe’s North-South Divide
By Rhiannonw

The cold takes hold,
night’s darkness lingers longer
but down in the South
the growth’s reviving,
the daylight’s lengthening,
strengthening,
its warmth enlivening.
‘Til after summer (there)
and winter (here)
the scene’s reversed
So which comes first?
Who leads the way?
We encourage each other to wait through the cold
for the promise of spring that so soon will unfold.

Sunrise, sunset, Seasons and years come and go
If living on the equator then you must have two summers and two winters in a year. And at the poles a summer of one day and a winter of one day, i.e. A Six months long day then night, same. Logical I'd say! Just consider the geometry.
Also yes, the old who came first, the eternal chicken or the egg problem!
Great on the cherries sonn you'll have a cherrie tree!
All the best Rhiannon! Tom
