God is, and is love

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]

A God at the heart of the universe,
a love that is willing to serve us and bless.
In person he came – not to see how things were
– our trouble he knew and to help joined us here.

Imagined tyrannical gods, and men’s fears
replaced by the truth of a kind King, who hears,
and bathed in his love we just worship in awe
– transparent his goodness, his faithfulness sure.

The King who’s in charge, for good purpose allowed
those foolish men strike him – God’s mercy then flowed
through his awful suffering – he chose not to use
security powerful, so we’d have good news!

Excellent, beautiful message! Yes "God is Love" it says in the Bible I wonder what exactly it means.

Thanks. Many of the phrases in this came from a helpful book I was reading. That God is love doesn't preclude his anger against sin and evil, but his love is perfect and so willing to help any who want his grace, and his covenant and salvation are pure love.

Our weather is very good today, some heavy rain in the week, but the heatwave before had been very intense,
