Heart Window

Will you open your heart through your eyes?
not just smile with your lips,
with your eyes in eclipse.
I don’t want to pry,
your history spy,
but if the door through your eyes is shut tight
dull bottomless pools, with no spark of light
I feel like a stranger pushed out in the night;
cant know your emotions
dislikes or affections
opinions, intentions:
Just give me a little glimpse in
so I can begin
to trust you and know you,
(for if you were blind,
I think we would find
that touch might provide
a way to confide)
but if heart outlet’s locked,
our contact is blocked.
we’re strangers, unknown –
don’t retreat there alone.
