[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]

In a manger, glory veiled;
glimpses of his power revealed
as he taught and healed, began
life and death’s redeeming plan.

But his power will be displayed
fully, all will be amazed
when he comes, the reigning King
glorious era will begin.

All will fear and some regret.
Some so glad this Lord they met
and received his offered grace,
now they Jesus can embrace.

It is certain he will come.
All will see him, mighty One.
Sadly those who scorn him now
will then find they fear and bow.
