True words Rhiannon, women never get taught how to become a parent, it has to come naturally.

I seemed to have missed this among the deluge of entries, Rhiannon.
No one can deny the hard work that a mother has to endure in bringing up children and making sure they avoid pitfalls by providing  love and support in a stable environment, even in difficult circumstances. And that makes them icons in our eyes.

Thank you, Luigi. Also, mothers can so easily feel that not only is their labour and wisdom and thoughtful guidance not appreciated, but can long for the more immediate recognition in some other field which they have had to forgo in order to fulfil their mothering role properly, and can feel the lure to give less time for their offspring and husband.
