It outshines the old!

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
Rushing to the pub with their weekly pay;
wives wait, knowing little will come their way.
See the Spirit shake up the husbands’ souls –
now they’ve found real joy, and fulfilling goals.
Some loved buildings old, with their rituals, bells –
calm and balm from ceremonies, incense smells.
But God’s Spirit wakes them, with Christ they meet –
symbols superseded by Life so sweet.
Some loved hate of Christians, like-minded ‘friends’
spurred each other on to malicious ends.
A few were shocked to notice their anger sore
hated what could give love they’re yearning for.
[IP: write about a place that’s lost its power, be that just for you, or for everyone .] – or for some!

think on good things!
All that you say here is true Rhiannon but does it help to worry about things we have no control over and even as far as trying to change the past? Rather not giving too much thought and effort to those things that you cannot change, or even influence in any way.
Think of the serenity prayer: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”.
Rather think of good things like hope and faith the Kingdom and yourself bringing light and love to the world?
Goodnight, take it easy! &&

Yes thanks!
Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. It's summer now we're still waiting for rain there was a little bit, not nearly enough. It has been warm. As far as Covid goes it is definitely looking up, and we will be reaching innoculation targets very soon.
See you &

I vividly remember those long
I vividly remember those long nights waiting to see what state my dad would come home in, but even then the hannd of God did not let me go. The anger I felt has gone. Forgivness both for my dad and the way I thought i was better are both valid to me. Thank you so much for this piece.
