Journeying over the gulf

Can I go back?
Can we heal the rift?
Was the hatred justified?
What sent us adrift?
Things were said,
anger shown,
all was not bad,
but forbearance flown –
love was mixed
with thoughtlessness
– was it fixed
in carelessness?
Is there still
a bond between
despite ill will
bad feeling, spleen?
I do remember
affection spots
– not lots –
assumed acceptance,
dependence,
and have a longing
for belonging
despite frustrations
and irritations
… so far a journey,
a gulf so wide –
Can we extend
offer our hand
across the great divide?
[IP: where will you go, when you really can go]

A nice rhythm to this,
A nice rhythm to this, Rhiannon. And another meaningful journey taken with you.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
