Long-tailed Tits, or …

Hedge Mumruffin, Fuffit,
pinkish fluffy ball
Long-tailed pie, Poke Pudding,
twittering, chattering call.
Acrobatic flits,
dart around the shrubs
flock of Long-tailed Chitterings
searching seeds and grubs.
Nimble Tailor’s mossy dome –
within its walls they sew
spider’s webs – expanding home
as nestlings grow and grow.
What a clever Hedge Jug –
they’re getting much less shy,
little head looks badger-like
with its stripe above each eye.
